TERESA H. KAJENSKI, CPA
Partner
Teresa joined us in 1991 and was certified in 1995. She has an associate’s degree in business from Champlain College and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. Michael’s College, graduating Cum Laude.
Teresa has been a director and is a past president of the Vermont Society of CPAs. She is a member of the American Institute and the Vermont Society of CPAs and served on the AICPA’s Governing Council. She serves on the boards of the North Country Federal Credit Union, the Vermont Chamber of Commerce and Cochran's Ski Area.
Teresa resides in Williston with her spouse, Ken, and their daughter. She enjoys being outside as much as possible, whether that be on the lake or on the mountain.

SARAH L. MYERS, CPA
Partner
Sarah joined us in 2012 with over five years of accounting experience. Originally an engineering major in college, she changed her major to accounting her sophomore year after taking an elective accounting course. She has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Champlain College and obtained her CPA license in October 2015. She is a member of the American Institute and the Vermont Society of CPAs.
Sarah lives in the Mad River Valley with her family. She can often be found snowboarding.

MICHAEL L. SEGALE, CPA
Partner Emeritus
Mike has worked for the firm since 1982. He was certified in 1984 and was an owner from 1987 to 2023. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Vermont. He still manages many client services, including business, non-profit and individual tax returns and is a contracted financial manager for various clients.
He is a member of the American Institute and the Vermont Society of CPAs. He also was on the Board that oversees accounting firm peer reviews for approximately 10 years that ended in 2022.
Mike has resided in Montpelier his entire life. Mike and his wife, Norma, spend summers at Joe's Pond in West Danville. They have 2 children and 3 grandchildren. Mike enjoys traveling, golfing, softball, pickeball and spending time with family and friends. He has also coached basketball, baseball and softball in Montpelier.

SHEILA R. VALLEY, CPA
Partner
Sheila joined us in 1986 and was certified in 1989. Sheila has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. Michael’s College, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
Sheila has been a Director and is a past President of the Vermont Society of CPAs. She is a member of the American Institute and the Vermont Society of CPAs. Sheila is currently serving as Treasurer of the Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains and has served on the Board of Directors for the Vermont Chamber of Commerce.
Sheila enjoys golfing, spending time with her dogs and traveling around the world in her downtime.

LINDA MULLEN, CPA
Manager
Linda rejoined us in 1997. She was certified in 2006 and has an associate’s degree in accounting from Champlain College.
She is a member of the American Institute and the Vermont Society of CPAs. She is the Treasurer for the Berlin Corner Cemetery Association and she also has served as Treasurer for the Central Vermont Humane Society and the Vermont Disaster Animal Response Team.
Prior to rejoining us she worked for another local accounting firm. When not in the office Linda enjoys traveling, reading a good book in the sun, playing pickleball, hiking with her dog and spending time with her grandsons.
Linda holds Vermont CPA license number 1966.
KERRY A. DEMARTINO
Manager
Kerry joined us in 2007 after twenty years with a local insurance company. She has a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Kerry is responsible for providing clients with accounting and payroll services as well as tax return preparation and consultation. She serves as the Treasurer for a local non-profit.
When she is out of the office she spends her time with her husband, Jeff, and their German Shepherds. Kerry is an avid flower gardener and can also be found cheering at local sporting events.
CHRISTY E. DAY, CPA
Supervisor
Christy joined us in 2016. She worked as an actuary at a local insurance company for a number of years and then returned to her alma mater, the University of Vermont, to earn a master’s degree in accountancy.
She is a member of the American Institute and the Vermont Society of CPAs. She enjoys combining her love of numbers with the opportunity to interact with people and businesses in the local community.
Christy lives in Waterbury and enjoys outdoor activities such as running, biking, and hiking.

TANIA SOLANO
Senior Accountant
Tania joined our firm in 2020. For nearly fifteen years she worked at another CPA firm specializing in international tax issues. She prepared US tax returns alongside Canadian tax filings, both for individuals and business entities. She holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Phoenix. For relaxation, she enjoys the quiet of the mountains.
ALEX SMITH
Staff Accountant
Alex joined us in 2022 after spending a year as a Financial Planning Assistant at a local firm. Alex holds two bachelor degrees from Norwich University, Accounting and Finance Economics. Alex is a commissioned Officer in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Alex enjoys baking, power-lifting and exploring the outdoors with his family.
SANDY F. MONTI
Firm Bookkeeper
Sandy joined us in 1985 and over the years has worked with many clients on accounting and tax matters. Since 1992 she has been managing the internal accounting for FSV.
Prior to joining us Sandy owned and co-managed local restaurants.
She is an active member of the Montpelier VFW Women’s Auxiliary. She enjoys playing Bingo and spending time with her family.
TONYA F. LING
Senior Accounting Services Associate
Tonya joined us in 2017 after over 19 years working at a local financial firm as the Support Staff Assistant. She was promoted in 2019 to Accounting Services Associate. She enjoys client service and believes in putting the client first. Tonya grew up in Greensboro, Vermont, on a dairy farm and holds an associate’s degree in accounting.
When she is not at the office she spends time staying active by running and hiking.
WANDA BERTE
Accounting Services Associate
Wanda joined us in December of 2020 after working in the Accounting/Customer Service sector for over 20 years. She has decided to continue her fascination with numbers and is pursuing an associate’s degree in accounting.
Making her home in Plainfield for the past thirty years, she has volunteered as the CubMaster for the local Boy Scouts and is a former board member for the Twin Valley Senior Center, which she still volunteers for as well as many other local charitable causes.
In her free time she has a passion for gardening, volunteering and spending time outside with her children, grandchildren and dogs.
KIMBERLEY GREENO
Support Staff Assistant
Kimberley joined us in 2024, after 23 years working as a special projects manager and a customer service supervisor.
She has a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from the Minneapolis College of Art & Design. She has lived and raised her family in Montpelier over the past 30 years.
Kimberley works as our support staff assistant.
Kimberley is a life-long artist who also enjoys hiking, kayaking, and selling antiques online in her spare time.
MARIANN P. TILTON
Firm Administrator
Mariann joined us in 2010 after working for another local accounting firm. Originally from Philadelphia, she has a bachelor’s degree in Communication from LaSalle University.
Mariann handles our paperless system and client requests.
When she is not at the office she spends time with her husband, daughter and three cats. Mariann enjoys running, reading and her Peloton.
BRENDA H. WHITMORE
Seasonal Staff Tax Preparer
Brenda joined our team in January of 2022 as a seasonal staff tax preparer.
Brenda spent 32 years working at UNH in facilities management and retired in 2021. As a lifelong learner, Brenda decided to learn a new skill and join our team.
In her free time, Brenda enjoys hiking with her dogs, spending time with her family and friends in nature and traveling the world.
MELANIE L. RODJENSKI, CPA
Seasonal Tax Supervisor
Melanie worked for FSV previously where she performed tax and attest work and obtained her CPA license. Melanie furthered her career by obtaining a position in higher education at a local university. Melanie returned to FSV part time in 2022.
She is a member of the American Institute and the Vermont Society of CPAs.
Melanie enjoys spending time in Florida where she can enjoy the sun, sand and seafood.

JOHN E. (JEFF) FOTHERGILL, CPA
Partner Emeritus
Jeff joined the firm in 1981 and was a full-time partner from 1985 through 2019. He now enjoys the role of “partner emeritus”, staying involved on a part-time basis in professional matters of interest. He credits his interest in accounting to his mother who was an in-house accountant for several businesses in his hometown of Rutland. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Vermont.
Jeff has been a director and president of the Vermont Society of CPAs, and also served two separate terms on the American Institute of CPA’s governing council. He served as trustee and Treasurer of the Kellogg-Hubbard Library in Montpelier for several years.
Jeff has spoken frequently to tax professional groups, including annual appearances at the University of Vermont Tax School. He has also conducted classes for small businesses, bankers, judges, realtors, attorneys and other CPAs. Jeff has done substantial work as an expert in matters involving financial issues, and has testified as an expert witness in many Vermont trials.
Jeff and his wife, Candace, enjoy their home in Maine and spending time with their adult children and extended families as much as possible.

DONALD J. MURRAY
Partner Emeritus
Don joined us in 1998 and was certified in 1999. He graduated from Webber College in Babson Park, Florida with an associate’s degree in lodging and restaurant management/accounting. Don retired at the end of 2021 and has been working part-time.
Prior to joining us he worked for a large local wholesale company and a public accounting firm.
Don enjoys spending his days in Jupiter, Florida where he can hit the links and go fishing.
